With regards to the horrific tragedy that occurred in Newtown, Connecticut. After reviewing several submissions in various forms, we will not be posting any material directly here on the US Press Association website. Much of this material is highly disturbing, and even images that are not graphic in nature may still be disturbing to many. We are an organization comprised of journalists of many types; we are not a news channel. We have made a decision as an organization to respect the privacy of the victims, relatives, families, friends and anyone that may be affected by this or any similar tragedy. There are many news sites where stories of this tragedy can be read or images viewed, including many of our own member’s websites, blogs or publications.
